Pitched nine and one-third innings in 11 appearances … struck out six batters … had two strikeouts in two innings work against Youngstown State (March 12) … earned a spot on the Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll … 2013-14 Colonel Scholar.
 
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2013
Started four games and appeared in seven … struck out 10 batters in 14 and two-thirds innings … suffered a season-ending knee injury … earned a spot on the Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll … 2012-13 Colonel Scholar.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2012
Made five appearances as a freshman … pitched one and two-thirds innings of scoreless relief against Bowling Green State (March 17) … tossed two-thirds of an inning of scoreless relief at Western Kentucky (May 15) … played for the Wellsville Nitros in the New York Collegiate Baseball League in the summer of 2012 … played in eight games and started six … had a 2-3 record with a 3.06 ERA … struck out 24 in 29 and one third innings.

HIGH SCHOOL
Finished 5-2 with a 3.32 ERA as a senior and was named honorable mention all-state ... played in the Kentucky East/West All-Star Game after his senior year ... went 4-2 with a 3.20 ERA in 25.0 innings of work as a junior … struck out 22 batters and walked only nine … attended Perfect Game Showcase in the summer of 2010 and was named a top-1,000 prospect in the country … named Paul Laurence Dunbar Pitcher of the Year as a freshman in 2008.

PERSONAL
Son of Mike and Julie Langfels ... majoring in sports management ... first cousin of Jayson Langfels, who starred at EKU from 2008-10 and was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the 2010 MLB Draft.
