Biography

AS A REDSHIRT JUNIOR IN 2013 (AT WESTERN KENTUCKY UNIVERSITY)
After missing most of the 2012 season with an injury, posted a 3-5 record with a 5.57 ERA in his comeback season … pitched 63 innings … struck out 51 while walking only 26.

AS A JUNIOR IN 2012 (AT WESTERN KENTUCKY UNIVERSITY)
Coming off a career year in 2011, the junior picked up right where he left in 2012, going 1-0 with a 3.22 ERA in 22.1 innings of work before an injury ended his season after just four starts ... received the starting nod on opening day against Toledo on Feb. 17, going 7.0 innings, allowing just one earned run ... made his second start of the year on Feb. 24 against Southern Illinois, allowing five earned runs over 6.0 innings of work, getting the no-decision ... picked up his first win of the season and the 12th win of his career in his third start, working 7.0 innings, giving up just one earned run on five hits on March 3 against Kent State ... made his final start of the season on March 9 against Western Illinois, lasting 2.1 innings before the injury.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2011 (AT WESTERN KENTUCKY UNIVERSITY)
Named second-team All-Sun Belt Conference after finishing his second season with a 7-4 record and a conference-best 2.32 ERA ... ranked among the top 10 in the league in innings pitched (99), strikeouts (75), wins (7) and opponent batting average (.243) ... lefties hit just .218 against the left-hander while he limited right-handers to a .245 average ... walked only 22 batters on the season ... ERA dropped to 2.13 in 10 SBC league starts ... worked at least six innings and allowed three earned runs or less in 13 of his 15 starts ... went 6-1 with seven walks and 43 strikeouts in his first seven starts of the season ... allowed just one run on three hits in his first career complete game in a 3-1 win over Illinois on March 11 ... he shutout the Fighting Illini on just one hit through the first eight innings, including a stretch where he retired 21 straight batters ... improved to 4-1 on the season with eight innings against MTSU on March 18, allowing one run on five hits with a career-high 10 strikeouts ... did not factor in the decision in three of his four starts in April despite allowing a total of six earned runs ... shutout the Blue Raiders on seven hits with a walk and two strikeouts in seven innings on May 19.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2010 (AT WESTERN KENTUCKY UNIVERSITY)
Made 16 apperances and 12 starts in his rookie season, finishing with three wins ... spent the majority of the season as a member of the weekend rotation for the Hilltoppers ... posted 43 strikeouts in 56 and one-third innings of work, the third most on the team ... finished the year with a 5.27 ERA and issued only 11 walks ... pitched six shutout innings against Kent State on Feb. 20 in his first career start, allowing just four hits, striking out six and walking none ... matched his season-high with six innings of work against ULM on March 27 ... other wins came against Illinois-Chicago and ULM.
