The Book on Jones – A late addition to the 2007 roster … played well on special teams last year and is penciled in as the starting strongside linebacker heading into the fall … an exceptional athlete who needs to be more consistent. 

At EKU – 2007: Played in the final 10 games … utilized on special teams and as a reserve linebacker … notched four tackles, including one for a loss, against Samford on Sept. 29 … chipped in with four stops and a quarterback hurry versus Tennessee State (Oct. 20) … recorded multiple tackles in five other games. 

At Cincinnati – 2005: Became a regular contributor at outside linebacker late in the season … saw considerable action in the final four games, including a start in the season finale versus Rutgers … posted a season-high four tackles against South Florida. 2004: Did not see any action. 

High School – Earned honorable mention all-state honors as a safety in 2003 … also named to first team all-conference, second team all-area and second team all-district … recorded 78 tackles, intercepted three passes and returned an interception for a score at Trootwood-Madison … caught four touchdown passes as a receiver … averaged 10 points as a senior on the basketball team … member of the academic honor roll. 

Personal – Son of Phillip and Meredith Bryant … born on Sept. 24, 1985 … his father played football while attending Wilmington (Ohio) College … cousin of former NFL running back Eric Metcalf.
