Player Profile – Soares has a very high level of inner confidence … a true competitor who has already experienced lots of success … is a key addition for doubles … will also be in the mix for singles.
2014-15 (Sophomore) – Played mostly at No. 5 singles, going 8-2 on the year ... also saw time at No. 3, 4 and 6 compiling a 6-3 mark ... won at No. 5 singles against #28 Louisville on April 7.
2013-14 (
Freshman) – Played at Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tennessee … earned second team All-Mid-South Conference accolades … went 15-3 in dual singles matches, mainly at the No. 4 position … defeated former Colonel Joao Maio in the EKU match on Feb. 15.
Off the Court – Doubles national champion and ranked No. 1 in singles in Portugal’s under-18 junior rankings … enjoys reading, listening to music, playing soccer and watching TV … wants to go into neuroscience.
