Biography

AS A REDSHIRT SENIOR IN 2016 AT EKU
Played in just two games before suffering a season-ending injury … completed 21-of-39 passes for 303 yards and one touchdown … went 19-for-32 for 285 yards at Ball State (Sept. 17) and threw a touchdown pass … against Ball State, eight of his 19 completions were for 15 yards or more and five of his final six went for between 27 and 46 yards.

AS A REDSHIRT JUNIOR IN 2015 AT UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI
Went 17-5 as a starter at Missouri … threw for 4,373 yards and 42 touchdown passes in 32 games over three seasons … played in four games in 2015, starting all four, and went 57-of-110 with six touchdowns and 654 yards … also added 145 rushing yards and another touchdown, accounting for seven on the year against just four interceptions … posted three passing touchdowns at Arkansas State (Sept. 12) while rushing for a season-high 75 yards in the win … went 14-for-22 with 145 yards against UConn (Sept. 19), scoring the go-ahead rushing touchdown … went 15-for-30 with 180 yards and a touchdown at Kentucky (Sept. 26).
 
AS A REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE IN 2014 AT UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI
Finished the regular season ranked sixth in the SEC in total offense and seventh in passing yards per game (189.1) ... his 2,648 passing yards were sixth in the SEC ... closed his season with seven consecutive games with a passer rating over 100.0 and was better than 100.0 in all but three games ... threw 25 touchdown passes on the season ... was 12-for-19 with 97 yards and two touchdowns in the Citrus Bowl, rushing for 56 yards and a score as well ... went 25-for-42and threw for 265 yards and one touchdown versus Arkansas (Nov. 28) ... was 4-of-6 passing in the fourth quarter against Arkansas for 80 yards and one touchdown to lead rally ... 12-for-25, 230 yards, 2 touchdowns at Tennessee (Nov. 22) ... 23-of-40, 252 yards, 1 touchdown in the rain at Texas A&M (Nov. 15) ... 18-of-33, 164 yards, 2 touchdowns versus Kentucky (Nov. 1), as well as a season-best 75 yards rushing (long of 32) on career-high 14 attempts ... dropped four touchdown passes on UCF (Sept. 13) in a 38-10 win ... again matched the Mizzou record with 5 touchdown passes during his 21-for-32 day at Toledo (Sept. 6), also recording his first 300-yard passing game (325) and completing a career-best 21 passes ... six touchdowns at Toledo tied the school record for touchdowns scored in a game, and he earned SEC Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts.
 
AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN IN 2013 AT UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI
Made four starts and made an instant impact for the Tigers, so much so that he was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team ... played in 13-of-14 games, threw for 1,071 yards and had an impressive 11-to-2 TD-to-INT ratio ... also ran for 229 yards and one touchdown ... closed his season in fine fashion as he led the Tigers to a touchdown in the Cotton Bowl win ... finished that game 2-of-4 passing for 32 yards and also rushed for 73 yards on just three attempts ... guided Mizzou to a 33-yard field goal in a second quarter series of the 24-10 win at No. 24 Ole Miss (Nov. 23), hitting Bud Sasser for a 60-yard completion ... matched the school record for touchdown passes in a game with his five scores on a 17-for-28, 203-yard performance in a 48-17 win at Kentucky (Nov. 9) ... three-time SEC Freshman Player of the Week after his performances against Florida (Oct. 19), Tennessee (Nov. 2), and Kentucky (Nov. 9).

A Parade All-American and two-time Gatorade Ohio Player of the Year … record-setting prep career which saw him break national records for passing yards (18,932), touchdown passes (219), pass completions (1,353) and total offense (22,681) ... ESPN ranked him as the nation’s No. 16 quarterback prospect, as well as the No. 8 overall prospect at any position coming out of the state of Ohio for 2012 ... was also named an All-American in 2011 by Sports Illustrated, in addition to winning the title of Mr. Football in the state of Ohio in the same year ... led his team to a 42-8 record over four seasons, and Kenton finished as runners up for the D4 state championship in 2011, falling 48-42 in the title game, despite Mauk’s 421 yards passing and six total touchdowns ... accounted for 278 total touchdowns in his four years as a starter for Kenton ... senior season stats included: 382-of-566 passing for 5,413 yards and 68 touchdowns, to go with 1,768 rushing yards and 24 touchdowns ... as a junior, produced 5,670 passing yards and 69 touchdowns, to go with 974 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns ... as a sophomore, threw for 4,550 yards and 46 touchdowns, while adding 660 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns ... freshman season stats included: 3,309 passing yards and 36 touchdowns, with 347 rushing yards and eight touchdowns.

Son of Mike and Gwyn Mauk ... has one brother – Ben, who was a standout quarterback at Cincinnati … his father was his high school coach.
