The Book on Jones – Entered the spring season with a renewed work ethic … took a liking to the nose guard position in spring drills … will be an interesting player to watch in his final year as a Colonel. 

At EKU – 2007: Played in eight games as a reserve defensive tackle … chipped in with two tackles in the season opener at Kentucky … involved in a sack in the win over Tennessee State on Oct. 20. 

At Florida State – 2006: Did not see any action. 2005: Appeared in six of the Seminoles’ 13 contests as a reserve defensive lineman … totaled three tackles … tallied a career-high two tackles versus The Citadel … chipped in with a stop against Syracuse … saw playing time in the ACC Championship game victory over Virginia Tech. 2004: Took a redshirt season. 

High School – Rated a five-star player by Rivals.com and the No. 10 defensive tackle in the nation … USA Today defensive second-team All-American … earned all-league, all-area and all-state honors while racking up 80 tackles and five sacks his senior season … also earned all-league, all-area and all-state accolades as a junior … was a starter for the East squad in the 2004 U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio, Texas. 

Personal – Son of Anita and Aaron Jones … born on Nov. 21, 1985 … his father was a 1987 All-American defensive tackle at EKU, a first round draft pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers and played nine years in the NFL.
