AS A SENIOR IN 2020-21
Saw action in 22 games and made two starts … averaged 3.1 points and 1.5 assists per game … shot 47 percent from the field … made 42 percent of his shots from three-point range … had a season-best 15 points and five assists against Campbellsville-Harrodsburg (Dec. 17) … started against Eastern Illinois (Dec. 30) and Tennessee State (Feb. 27).
AS A JUNIOR IN 2019-20
Played in 31 games and started 12 of them … ranked second on the team in assists (80) and steals (60) … his 1.9 steals-per-game ranked third in the OVC … averaged 5.9 points-per-game during OVC play … had eight assists and zero turnovers in the OVC-opening win over Tennessee Tech on Jan. 2 … dazzled in the win at Tennessee Tech on Jan. 25, finishing with six points, nine assists, four rebounds and no turnovers … his nine assists in that game just missed his career high … finished the regular season strong, scoring a season-high 11 points in the win over Tennessee State on Feb. 20 … followed that up with 11 points vs. Belmont on Feb. 22 … had 10 points, four steals and two assists in the regular season finale victory over rival Morehead State on Feb. 29 … matched his season-high with five steals in the OVC quarterfinals win over Tennessee State on March 5.
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2018-19
Appeared in 16 games, and started four of them, before suffering a season-ending injury in early February … averaged 4.3 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists-per-game before being shut down … scored a season-high 13 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the field in a come-from-behind road win at Chattanooga on Nov. 10 … posted eight points, four rebounds, three steals and two assists in the road win at High Point on Dec. 1 … grabbed a career-high eight rebounds in a win over USC Upstate on Dec. 5, to go along with six points, five steals and four assists … had eight points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals in a victory over NKU on Dec. 10 … dished out a season-best six assists at Xavier on Dec. 15 … produced one of the most memorable moments of the season when he went coast-to-coast and hit a floater as time expired to give the Colonels an 85-83 win over conference foe Southeast Missouri on Jan. 19.
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2017-18
Started 17 games as a freshman, averaging 5.9 points-per-game and a team-best 3.8 assists-per-game … also led the team in steals (32) … ranked fifth in the OVC in assist/turnover ratio (2.4) and seventh in steals/game (1.3) during conference play … made his first career start at Ole Miss on November 13, playing 35 minutes and delivering seven points, six assists and two steals … had eight assists and seven rebounds in the win over Norfolk State on December 18 … followed that up with a career high 10 assists and a career high seven steals at Marshall on December 22 … his seven steals in that game were the most by a Colonel since 2014 … really came on strong down the stretch for the Colonels … had 15 points, five assists and went coast-to-coast for the game-winning layup with 3.8 seconds on the clock to life EKU past in-state rival Morehead State on February 10 … went for 14 points and eight assists and conference power Belmont on February 14 … poured in a career-high 16 points in the win over Southeast Missouri on February 22.
HIGH SCHOOL
Named first team All-7th Region by the Courier-Journal after averaging 15.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.5 steals-per-game as a senior ... guided Waggener High to a 19-12 record and a 27th District runner-up finish in 2016-17 ... garnered both 27th District and 7th Region All-Tournament team honors ... for his high school career, Hobbs tallied 886 points, 187 assists, 250 rebounds and 146 steals.
