AS A JUNIOR IN 2019
Third team All-Ohio Valley Conference linebacker by Phil Steele … saw action in 11 games and made eight starts at linebacker … chosen to the 2019 Academic All-District® Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) … totaled 63 tackles, including 9.5 tackles for a loss and 2.0 sacks … forced one fumble, recovered one fumble and had one pass break-up … tied for 29th in the Ohio Valley Conference in tackles (5.2/game) and tied for ninth in tackles for a loss (0.79/game) … had a season-high 11 tackles at Louisville (Sept. 7) … registered three tackles for a loss, a sack and forced a fumble against Valparaiso (Aug. 29) … also had a sack against Tennessee State (Sept. 28) … totaled eight tackles at No. 17 Southeast Missouri (Nov. 9) ... earned a spot on the Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2018
Started all 11 games at linebacker … second on the team with 73 tackles … second on the team with 8.5 tackles for a loss … had two sacks, one interception, two pass break-ups and three quarterback hurries … tied for 16th in the Ohio Valley Conference with 6.6 tackles per game … 20th in the conference with 0.77 tackles for a loss per game … chosen as the OVC Defensive Player of the Week and honorable mention STATS National Player of the Week after recording 11 tackles, a sack and an interception in a near upset of FBS Bowling Green (Sept. 15) … had five tackles and a sack in a win over Eastern Illinois (Oct. 27) … posted a season-high 13 tackles in a win over Robert Morris (Nov. 10) ... earned a spot on the Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2017
Played in all 11 games as a true freshman … saw extensive action on special teams and increased playing time at linebacker late in the season … recorded eight tackles, 0.5 tackles for a loss and blocked a kick … had four tackles, including 0.5 tackles for a loss, at No. 3 Jacksonville State (Oct. 14) … blocked a punt and the offense used the short field to score the go-ahead touchdown with 9:12 left in the game and pick up a 14-10 victory over Saint Francis (Nov. 18) … Crowder got his hand on the attempt and the Colonels took over at the Saint Francis 34 yard line ... earned a spot on the Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

HIGH SCHOOL
Picked up class 6A all-state honors … also was chosen All-Birmingham Metro, All-North Jefferson County … AHSAA 6A and Fox 6 Sideline Player of the Week … totaled 431 tackles, 212 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns during his career at Gardendale High School … played for head coach Matt Plunkett … posted 184 tackles and 12 sacks as a senior … had 154 tackles and nine sacks his junior season … team captain … three-year starter … 4.32 GPA … National Honor Society … ranked fifth in his class.

Full name is Steven Douglas Crowder ... son of Scott and Pam Crowder … has two brothers – Michael, and Goose … his mother was a junior college All-American while playing softball at Calhoun Community College … majoring in applied engineering management.
