2013 Character and Football Development Youth Camp
Dates:
June 12, 13, 14 at Roy Kidd Stadium
Cost:
Three day daytime camp: $180 per player (breakfast club), or $120 per player without breakfast
***Breakfast Club: This option allows parents to drop off camp participants at an earlier time and pick them up later. We will provide breakfast for the these camp participants.
Campers must be entering grades 1-8 in the fall of 2013.
Camp Features:
All practices will focus on the basic fundamentals of being a successful player. Players will be able to play and learn fundamentals of offense, defense and special teams. We will stress the importance of doing the right thing. We will help all of our campers understand that being a champion is an all-the-time thing through our character development series (Talents, Gentleman and Sportsmanship).
Fundamentals:
• OFFENSE: Stance, blocking, throwing, catching, footwork and hand placement
• DEFENSE: Stance, tackling, alignments, creating turnovers, footwork and hand placement
• SPECIAL TEAMS: Kicking, punting, returning and alignments
Character Development:
Our primary focus in recruiting our student-athletes is CHARACTER. The character of a football team will win or lose a championship. At EKU, we take a pro-active approach in the personal development of all of our players on and off the football field. In camp, we will stress the importance of doing the right thing. We will help all of our campers understand that being a champion is an all-the-time thing through our character development series (Talents, Gentleman and Sportsmanship).
Fun:
We will challenge all of our campers to work hard and have FUN. Some of the activities we will do at camp include:
• COLONEL BALL
• RELAY RACES
• OBSTACLE COURSES
• FASTEST MAN IN CAMP
• AND MANY OTHER ACTIVITIES!!!!!!
