2012-13 Record Breaking Season

The 2012-13 season was a remarkable one for the Colonels. The list of accomplishments is long. It begins with a school-record 25 wins and includes the program's first victory in a national postseason tournament game in 68 years.

- Set a new school-record with 25 victories, three more than the previous best of 22 wins.

- Eastern's victory over Gardner-Webb in the CollegeInsider.com Tournament (CIT) was its first win in a national postseason tournament game since March 17, 1945.

- Finished with the second-best record in the Ohio Valley Conference.

- EKU finished with an RPI of 69, higher than such schools as St John's, LSU, Florida State, Virginia, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Purdue and Georgia

- Won a school record nine road games.

- Started the season 9-0, the team's best start in 66 years.

- Was one of the final nine unbeaten teams in the nation, and the last remaining undefeated mid-major team.

- Started 4-0 in the OVC for the first time since 1978-79.

- Finished in the top-10 in the nation in free throw shooting (4th), turnover margin (4th) and three-point field goals per game (6th).
