EKU Giving Day

2021givindayheader
Eastern Kentucky University's Giving Day 2021 will take place on Wednesday, April 14. This 24-hour online challenge is designed to increase giving participation among the entire EKU community. Also known as #GiveBigE, the event’s goal is to receive support from 1,000 donors in 24 hours.

Join us as we let people know that their donations truly make a difference in the lives of EKU's students. If enough people give, the impact increases -- groups from across the University community have set forth several challenges that will provide thousands of dollars of additional support once specific milestones are met.

There were 748 donors in 24 hours on EKU's first-ever Giving Day, which greatly surpassed the original goal of 424. To succeed in reaching our 2021 goal of 1,000 donors, we need your help spreading the word to our loyal alumni and friends.

2021impact

Your philanthropic gifts to EKU Athletics make an impact on the opportunities presented to our student-athletes. Contributions made to the Colonel Club are unrestricted gifts used to benefit EKU Athletics and its student-athletes. Contributions made to an individual sport fund are used to benefit that program directly. Sport-specific supporters will be recognized as Colonel Club members, but all benefits are realized through the individual sports office. Supporters can decline the benefits for the 100% tax-deduction.

We accept many types of gifts that are consistent with the missions, purposes and priorities of EKU Athletics. These include current gifts, such as cash or stock transfers, and deferred gifts, such as will bequests. You can make gifts in a variety of convenient ways, including online, over the phone, via mail and in person.

Your donations and ticket purchases are key as we look to grow intercollegiate athletics. We currently rank 6th-of-7 and 7th-of-7 among public ASUN Conference institutions and other peer institutions in revenues from ticket sales and fundraising, respectively. With the largest student aid bill in the league, the need for revenue to offset this is vital to our continued success and growth of our great tradition.
