2007 (SOPHOMORE): Returned to action after missing two seasons due to an injury…Posted a 6-5 record for the season…Tied for first on the team for most starts (14)…Second on the team for most innings pitched (65)…Won his first game of the season against Long Island…pitched five innings of three-run baseball in the win...Pitched five innings of two hit, one run baseball against Southeast Missouri (5/6)…Against Bucknell University, Grider pitched six innings, giving up only two earned runs (3/12)…Named a captain by his teammates before the season began.

2004 (FRESHMAN): Named Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American...Ranked 32nd in the nation with 10.46 strikeouts per nine innings (second in the Ohio Valley Conference)...Led the Colonels in wins (eight), starts (14), strikeouts (81) and innings pitched (69.2)...Held opposing hitters to a .262 batting average (fourth in the OVC)...Threw four complete games on the year (tied for fourth in the league)...Struck out a season-high 11 batters over 6.0 innings against Vermont (3/15)...Fanned nine hitters against Tennessee Tech (3/27), UT Martin (4/3) and Samford (4/24)...Threw a complete-game shutout at Southeast Missouri (5/2), scattering three hits over 7.0 innings of work...Allowed just one home run on the year, leading to an OVC-best 0.13 homers-per-game average...Ranked fourth in the league in hits per nine innings (9.04) and ninth in earned run average (4.13)...Lowered his earned run average to 3.38 in conference games, while striking out 59 batters over 50.2 innings...OVC batters hit just .251 against him.
