Dan Scott



Dan Scott is beginning his first season as the Director of Operations for the Eastern Kentucky women's basketball program.

Scott spent the last two years as a volunteer assistant coach for the EKU baseball team.

In his first season with the baseball Colonels, Scott helped EKU advance to the championship round of the 2013 Ohio Valley Conference Tournament.

Scott spent the 2012 season at Belmont Abbey College, a NCAA Division II school in North Carolina. He helped the Crusaders to a 30-win season. Scott assisted with travel, equipment and recruiting while also serving as the head coach of the junior varsity team.

The Miami, Fla., native spent two summers, 2011 and 2012, as the head coach of the Covington Lumberjacks, a collegiate summer league team. He led the Lumberjacks to the 2011 Valley League Championship.

Before spending the fall 2011 semester as an assistant coach at Campbellsville University, Scott was the varsity pitching coach and head junior varsity coach for two seasons (2010-11) at Chaminade-Madonna Preparatory school in Hollywood, Fla.

Scott graduated from Florida State University in August 2009 with a bachelor of science degree in interdisciplinary social sciences. He spent the 2009 fall semester as a volunteer assistant at the University of Central Florida before taking the position at Chaminade-Madonna.

While a student at Florida State, Scott spent two years as a student manager (2004-06) and two years as a student assistant coach (2007-09). As a student assistant, Scott helped with coordinating practice, he organized and maintained hitting charts and assisted with team travel and equipment. The Seminoles advanced to the College World Series in 2008.

As a high school player, Scott was a member of the 2003 FHSAA 4A State Championship team at St. Thomas Aquinas High School.
