AS A FRESHMAN IN 2012
Saw action in 15 games and started six times, once behind the plate and five times at designated hitter … batted .300 with six runs and four RBIs in 20 at bats … went 1-for-2 with a home run and two RBIs at Tennessee-Martin (May 5) … was 2-for-2 with two runs and a stolen base at Dayton (May 8) … 2011-12 Colonel Scholar.

HIGH SCHOOL
Voted preseason all-state before the 2011 season ... named 13th Region Player of the Year and led the Clay County Tigers to 13th Region Championships both his junior and senior years ... batted .552 with eight home runs and 60 RBIs as a senior ... played quarterback on the Clay County football team and also broke the school's single-game tackle record with 25.
