AS A REDSHIRT JUNIOR IN 2021 AT EKU
Made eight appearances … had a 9.95 ERA over six and one-third innings … struck out four … pitched an inning of hitless relief in Eastern’s win over Marshall (March 9) ... earned a spot on the Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

AS A REDSHIRT JUNIOR IN 2020 AT EKU
Played in four games, pitching three and two-thirds innings … was 1-0 with a 2.45 ERA … earned the win after pitching one and one-third innings of scoreless relief at Northern Kentucky (March 11).

AS A REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE IN 2019 AT EKU
Made six appearances … posted a 5.06 ERA … went 0-0 with one save … had 15 strikeouts in 10 and two thirds innings … earned the save in an elimination game against Belmont (May 24) at the OVC Tournament, allowing one run on four hits in three and one-third innings … he walked two and struck out five … had a season-high six strikeouts in three and two-thirds innings against Dayton (March 28).

AT SPARTANBURG METHODIST COLLEGE
Played two seasons at Spartanburg Methodist … helped the team to a 33-21 record his freshman year … named to the presidential list for his work in the classroom … redshirted his sophomore season.
 
HIGH SCHOOL
Played three seasons at C.W. Baker High School … threw 33 and two-thirds innings with 40 strikeouts and posted a 3.20 ERA his senior year.

PERSONAL
Full name is Nick Borek … son of Mike and Kym Borek … has one brother – Michael, and one sister – Sophie … his father played baseball at Florida State University … majoring in sociology.
