HIGH SCHOOL: A standout pitcher from Boyle County High School in Danville…Posted a 13-2 record his senior year with a 2.13 ERA and 118 strikeouts in 89 innings of work…Named second team all-state his senior year… Also selected to the Advocate-Messenger all-area team and the 12th Region all-region team… Proved battle tested his junior year when he went 9-4 with a 2.05 ERA and 108 strikeouts in 71 innings pitched…Allowed only 39 hits and 17 walks during his 71 innings…His strong performance on the mound earned Cooper a spot on the Advocate-Messenger all-area baseball team…Also competed on the KHSBA all-state team and in the Kentucky East–West All-Star Game…Posted a perfect 7-0 record his sophomore year...Coached by David Camic.
