AS A SENIOR IN 2024 AT EKU
Saw action in 23 games … started four times … posted a 9.08 ERA over 38 2/3 innings … struck out 30 and walked 21 … was huge out of the bullpen early at No. 6 Vanderbilt (Feb. 21), coming on with two outs in the bottom of the first and surrendered just one run on two hits over 4 1/3 innings while retiring the final nine batters he faced … pitched 4 2/3 innings of relief versus No. 25 Kentucky (March 6) without allowing a hit or a run while walking one and striking out five … in the two appearances combined against No. 6 Vanderbilt and No. 25 Kentucky, he pitched nine innings, allowed one run on two hits, walked one and struck out six ... Atlantic Sun Conference Honor Roll.

AS A JUNIOR IN 2023 AT EKU
Made 15 appearances and started 10 times … went 1-5 with a 7.28 ERA … struck out 62 in 50 and two-thirds innings … turned in a quality start and earned the win against South Alabama (Feb. 18), pitching six shutout innings with three hits allowed and nine strikeouts … did not allow an earned run and struck out six in six innings against Presbyterian (March 10) ... Atlantic Sun Conference Honor Roll.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2022 AT EKU
Appeared in and started 14 games … went 6-3 with a 3.76 ERA and 82 strikeouts in 76 and two-thirds innings … allowed 59 hits and walked 30 … opponents had a .212 batting average against the right-hander … tied for fifth in the ASUN Conference in wins, was sixth in ERA, tied for sixth in strikeouts, tied for seventh in starts, tied for ninth in innings pitched and ninth in strikeouts per nine (9.63) … was 55th in the nation in hits allowed per nine innings (6.93) and 86th in WHIP (1.16) … chosen as the ASUN Pitcher of the Week on May 23 after he tossed a complete game, two-hit shutout at Central Arkansas (May 20) to secure EKU’s place in the ASUN Tournament … over his final four starts of the regular season, Brown was 2-0 with a 2.28 ERA, averaging 6.9 innings per start … he struck out 21 and allowed only 18 hits in 27 and two-thirds innings over that time … earned his first win against Bowling Green (March 5), allowing one run on four hits and striking out a season-high 13 in six innings … struck out 10 in seven shutout innings against Bellarmine (March 26) and allowed two hits and two walks … gave up one run on five hits and struck out six in eight innings at Jacksonville State (April 2).

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2021 AT SEMINOLE STATE COLLEGE OF FLORIDA
Started 11 games and made 21 appearances … went 7-3 with three saves and a 3.92 ERA … struck out 88 and walked only 30 in 80 and one-third innings … pitched one complete game … averaged 9.86 strikeouts per nine innings.
 
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2020 AT UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH FLORIDA
Made one appearance out of the bullpen, against No. 12 Florida State on Feb. 18 … allowed one run in two-thirds of an inning with a strike out.
 
HIGH SCHOOL
Pitched in four games as a senior at Lake Brantley High School after returning from an injury, finishing with two saves … was 2-0 as a junior in 2018 before suffering a season-ending injury … earned first team all-conference honors and pitcher of the year recognition after going 8-0 with a 2.35 ERA as a sophomore.

Full name is Rese Gardner Brown … son of John Brown and Linda Lay … has one sister – Emory … his dad ran track at Central Michigan and his grandfather, Roger Brown, ran track at Miami (Ohio) … majoring in general studies.
