Eastern Kentucky University Athletics

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2012
Played in 25 games and made 10 starts behind the plate … hit .143 with three runs, a home run and five RBIs … went 1-for-2 with a run at East Tennessee State (Feb. 18) … crushed a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to cap off Eastern’s 5-4 come-from-behind victory over Eastern Illinois (April 13).  Spent the summer of 2012 playing for the Lexington Hustlers of the Great Lakes League … batted .275 in 17 games … had four runs, four doubles, a home run and seven RBIs.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2011
Started 25 games, mostly at catcher …finished the season with a .215 batting average, one home run, one double, five RBI and five runs scored … filled in admirably for opening day starter Sean Hagen after Hagen was injured midway through the season …had a breakout game against OVC foe Southeast Missouri on April 2, batting 2-for-2 with his first career home run, two RBI and a run scored … went 2-for-5 with an RBI in a crucial conference win over Tennessee Tech on May 1 … three days later, batted 2-for-3 in a home win over in-state rival Western Kentucky.

HIGH SCHOOL
A four-year letterman at Bishop Eustace High, he batted .400 as a senior with two home runs, 10 doubles, 30 RBI and 24 runs scored … named first team all-conference as a senior … also named to the Camden County All Star Game and the Carpenter Cup Team as a senior …played summer ball for the Tri State Arsenal under coach Joe Barth … also played for College Select under coach Tom Rizzi and the New Jersey Marlins under coach Ed Graziuno and with current EKU teammate Bryan Solomon.

Son of Col. Marc and Crystal Ferraro … majoring in sports management.
