Biography
2009: Recorded a title triumvirate at the OVC Indoor Track and Field Championships as he took home individual conference titles in the mile (4:09.32) and 3,000 meters (8:28.64) while being a member of the winning distance medley team (10:15.62)…Also won an OVC title in the 5,000 meters at the OVC Outdoor Track and Field Championships, edging teammate Joseph Maina with a time of 14:40.51…Placed fifth in the 1,500 meters at the outdoor championships with a time of 3:59.46…Finished 10th in the 5,000 meters at the Mideast Region Track and Field Championships with a time of 14:33.34 and was the highest sophomore finisher in the talent-laden race…Was the first collegiate finisher in the 3,000 meters at the Univ. of Kentucky Invitational, placing second to only Reebok’s John Richardson with a time of 8:13.67…Won the mile in 4:10.00 at the MTSU Invitational…Against some of the best competition in the country at the Univ. of Arkansas Tyson Invitational, he placed fourth in the 3,000 meters with a time of 8:04.01…Recorded a 14:20.73 in the 5,000 meters at the Mt. SAC Relays…Named OVC Male Runner of the Week twice during the track and field season.
2008: Placed third at the OVC Cross Country Championships and was named first team All-OVC...Finished 21st at the Southeast Region Championships two weeks later, earning All-Southeast Region honors.
2007: An All-American in the indoor 3,000 meters at Lindenwood University...A 2007 cross country All-American...A 2008 All-American in the 5,000 meters...2008 conference MVP.
