Cross Country – Posted an 8K time of 25:25.0 at the Crimson Classic.

2022-23
Cross Country – Posted a career-best five-mile time of 24:40.70 at the Joe Piane Invitational.
Track and Field – Ran a personal-best 3,000m time of 8:01.96 finishing in ninth place at the Sharon Colyear Season Opener… won the mile run with a time of 4:08.06 at the Rod McCravy Memorial… won the mile run with a personal-best time of 4:04.39 at the Alex Wilson Invitational… broke the EKU and ASUN record while winning a gold medal with a DMR time of 9:43.73 at the ASUN Indoor Track and Field Championships… ran a personal-best 5,000m time of 14:27.70 at the Raleigh Relays… finished in second place in the steeplechase with a time of 8:42.57 at the Mt. Sac Relays… posted a personal-best 1,500m time of 3:49.59 at the Rick Erdmann Twilight… earned a silver medal in the steeplechase with a time of 8:40.68 at the ASUN Outdoor Track & Field Championships… finished in eighth place in the steeplechase (8:45.79) at the NCAA East Preliminary to qualify for nationals… finished in 18^th place in the steeplechase (8:53.39) at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

2021-22
Cross Country – Won the 5K event with a time of 15:18.3 at the dual meet against Morehead State… ran a personal-best 5K time of 14:30.7 at the Furman Invitational… clocked a career-best 8K time of 24:52.4 at the ASUN Cross Country Championships.
Track and Field – Won the 3,000m event with a time of 8:15.44 at the Music City Challenge… earned a silver medal with a career-best 3,000m time of 8:09.98 at the ASUN Indoor Track & Field Championships.

2020-21
Cross Country – Finished 16^th at the OVC Cross Country Championships in March.
Track and Field – Had a breakout season on the track … won gold in the steeplechase at the OVC Outdoor Championships in May, clocking a season-best time of 8:51.4 … qualified for the NCAA East Preliminary Rounds in the steeplechase, where he finished 16^th, just missing a berth in the NCAA Championships.
 

2019-20
Cross Country – Finished 20^th at the OVC Championships with an 8K time of 25:38.0.
Track and Field – Broke out at the OVC Indoor Championships, helping the EKU men win silver by running the anchor leg of the distance medley relay (10:08.16) … the next day scored points with a fourth-place finish in the 3,000 meters, clocking a personal-best time of 8:20.06 … ran a personal-best time of 4:15.73 in the mile at the Thundering Herd Invitational in January.


Prior to EKU: Recorded a time of 9:01 in the 3K steeplechase and was a finalist in the event at the European U20 Championships.


Personal: Son of Maria Emma Palencia Fuentes and Pedro Jose Garcia Orte ... majoring in communications.
