2009 Scouting Report – Has worked hard to improve his fundamentals and technique … plays with a tremendous amount of heart and love for the game … should contribute on special teams.

At EKU – 2008: Took a redshirt season.

High School – Team MVP and captain for the Cougars … played three years of varsity ball at wide receiver and strong safety … earned all-county honors as a utility player … also ran track for four years and was a three-time qualifier for regionals.

Personal – Son of Bob and Jami Scannell … born on Jan. 24, 1990 … both parents graduated from Eastern Kentucky University … his dad was a defensive back for the Colonels in the mid-1980s.
