A two-way player, Mathis rushed for 1,116 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2024 averaging 93 yards per game on the ground ...  also added 24 total tackles in 12 games for Madison Central in a senior season that ended in the KHSAA 6A Quarterfinals ... was a an Academic All-State selection ... played baseball and ran track as well.
