Anthony Cicione joined the EKU football program as a defensive quality control coach in the summer of 2018. 
 
From 2016 to 2018, Cicione was an assistant coach at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.  He worked with the safeties and outside linebackers.  He oversaw recruiting efforts in 13 states – California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Kansas, Arizona, Wyoming and a portion of Ohio.
 
Cicione served as the defensive backs and quarterbacks coach at St. Vincent St. Mary High School in Akron, Ohio from 2014 to 2015. 
 
Cicione earned a bachelor of arts degree in sports studies/coaching and recreation from John Carroll University in May of 2018.  He was a two-year member of the JCU football team in 2015 and 2016, helping the squad capture a conference title and finish as the NCAA semi-finalist in 2016.
