Austin Minor began his duties as the special teams quality control coach in the spring of 2017. 

In 2017, Minor worked with a special teams unit that ranked first in FCS football in kickoff returns (27.52), and second in net punting (41.14).  LJ Scott led the conference and was third in the nation with an average of 30 yards per kickoff return.  Keith Wrzuszczak led the league and was sixth in the country in punting at 44.1 yards per punt. 
 
Minor was the assistant recruiting coordinator, defensive quality control coach and specialists coordinator at Coffeyville Community College during the 2016 season.  He helped the defense rank second in the nation in points allowed, 10th in interceptions and 23rd in sacks. 
 
Minor’s responsibilities at Coffeyville included assisting with scouting reports, film breakdown, monitoring academic progress and assisting the recruiting coordinator.
 
He earned an associate’s degree in arts at Coffeyville in 2013 while earning two letters as the long snapper.  Minor received a bachelor’s degree in general studies at Missouri Southern State University in 2015.  He was a team captain and third team All-Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association.
