Chris Cunningham is in his first year as a defensive graduate assistant with the Colonel football team and works primarily with the defensive backs.
Cunningham played football for EKU from 2008-11 and was a member of the 2008 OVC championship squad. He found success on and off the field at Eastern as he also earned six Colonel Scholar awards.

Cunningham graduated from Eastern in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in sports management with a minor in business.
A native of Miami, Fla., Cunningham was an all-county and all-state selection during his high school playing days.
