Tim Miesmer joined the EKU Sports Medicine staff as an associate athletic trainer in the fall of 2014.  Miesmer works primarily with the Colonel football and spirit teams.
 
Miesmer, originally from Florida, spent the previous two years as an assistant athletic trainer at Tusculum College where he was the primary athletic trainer for the men's basketball team.  He also worked with the Pioneer football and cross country squads.
 
Since graduating from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training in 2007, Miesmer spent time working for Valdosta State (2007-09), the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2009-10) and Piedmont College (2010-12).  Miesmer earned his master's degree in health and physical education from Valdosta State in 2009.

He became a certified athletic trainer in May 2007 and has been a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) since 2006.  He is married to Jessica.
