AS A FRESHMAN IN 2020
Played in eight games … started at center six times, including the final four games … helped EKU conclude the fall third in the nation in passing offense (247.4 yards per game) and fourth in the country in total offense (376.4 yards per game) … started on the offensive line when the Colonels ran up a season-high 590 yards of offense against Western Carolina in the 2020 Opportunity Bowl … part of an offensive unit that totaled 400 yards or more of offense in six of the final seven games of the season.

HIGH SCHOOL
First team all-state selection as a senior in 2019 at Christ Presbyterian Academy … also chosen first team all-region and third team All-Midstate … led the Lions to the Tennessee Division 2 AA state championship game in 2019 … first team all-region for an undefeated (14-0) state championship CPA team as a junior in 2018 … chose EKU because he “loved the campus, people and coaches … also loved the great business department”.

Full name is Jarrett Douglas Mathews … son of Tate and Jennifer Mathews … has one brother – Jackson, and one sister – Jenna ... his grandfather Doug Mathews was a running back at Vanderbilt University … plans to study business management.
