Biography

The Book on Tuupo – Had an outstanding spring … got some valuable repetitions at safety and in the nickel package during the off-season … will be in the mix and an important part to the team’s success. 

At EKU – 2007: Played in all 12 games as the third safety and a special teams contributor … tallied three stops and a pass break-up versus Western Carolina on Sept. 8 … finished with four tackles at Jacksonville State (Sept. 22) and against Southeast Missouri (Oct. 13) … picked up a fumble recovery at Murray State (Oct. 27) and versus Tennessee Tech (Nov. 17). 2006: Played in seven games, mostly on special teams … chipped in with a tackle at Western Carolina and versus Jacksonville State. 2005: Made an appearance in seven games, mainly on special teams … notched a tackle in the Western Kentucky and Samford contests. 2004: Took a redshirt season. 

High School – Holds school single-game record with four interceptions … voted team’s best defensive back two straight years … three-time all-county selection … honorable mention all-region pick … served as team captain during his senior campaign … chose EKU over Ohio and The Citadel. 

Personal – Son of Kuki and Terri Tuupo … born on Jan. 19, 1986.
