High School – Honorable mention all-state by the Associated Press … piled up 2,963 career rushing yards, which ranks second in Tomcat football history … registered 1,475 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns as a senior. 

Personal – Son of Gary and Birdell Thomas … born on Dec. 21, 1988 … his high school head coach was Leon Hart, a former EKU assistant coach from 1976-88 and 1996-02.
