Played in five games ... made two starts ... caught 10 passes for 105 yards and a touchdown ... two receptions for season-high 34 yards and a touchdown against Sam Houston (Oct. 15) ... season-high four catches for 33 yards against Eastern Michigan (Sept. 2). 

IN 2021
Started two games and played in five ... caught nine passes for 117 yards and one touchdown ... totaled five catches for 89 yards and a touchdown against Western Carolina (Sept. 4).

Played in four of South Alabama’s first five games.

Appeared in each of the Jaguars’ first two home contests, a win over Jackson State and against Memphis.

Redshirted season … played in one game … saw action in the Jaguars’ win over Alabama State.

Earned three stars from Rivals.com, with the organization including him among the top 40 recruits in the state ... also received three stars from 247Sports.com, which rated him among the top 45 individuals in Alabama ... lettered all three years after transferring to Thompson High School ... as a senior recorded 67 receptions for 1,118 yards and 12 touchdowns to be chosen honorable mention all-state by the Alabama Sports Writers Association ... efforts helped the Warriors go 12-1 — claiming the region title with a 7-0 mark — while advancing to the semifinals of the state 7A playoffs ... helped THS to a 5-5 record each of his first two years at the school after the Warriors had gone 0-10 in 2014, their first season at the 7A level … also recruited by Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, Nebraska, Memphis, UAB and Massachusetts.

Full name is Morris Ray Edwards Jr. ... son of Morris Sr. and Tia Edwards ... has four brothers – Fred, Marcus, Tyler and Tre ... brother, Marcus, was an outside linebacker at Tennessee Tech from 2009-12, going on to play professionally overseas for four seasons and indoor in the United States ... majoring in exercise science.
