Andre Evans joined the EKU football program as a defensive quality control coach in the spring of 2021.
Evans was a member of the Eastern Kentucky football team in 2008 and 2009, helping the team to a conference title in 2008. In two seasons, he played in 22 games, had three interceptions and 63 tackles, including 4.5 tackles for a loss.
During the 2020 season, Evans was the special teams coordinator and defensive secondary coach at Franklin Pierce University. From 2018 through the 2019 season, he was the defensive coordinator and defensive secondary coach at Cleveland Glenville High School. Evans served as the defensive coordinator at Charles F. Brush High School from 2014 to 2018.
Evans began his collegiate playing career at Buffalo before transferring to EKU. Following the end of his collegiate career, Evans was an undrafted free agent signee with the Cleveland Browns in 2010.
Evans earned a bachelor’s of arts degree in general studies in health science at Eastern Kentucky.
