Brendan McNamara was chosen as EKU’s football video coordinator in February 2020.
McNamara came to EKU after spending the 2019 season as an intern assistant to the video coordinator at Wake Forest University. He assisted in creating social media campaigns, assisted in filming practice, managed the DV Sport server database of game film for advance scouting, recruiting and research, and assisted in starting a drone program for use of recording practice.
From August 2015 to May 2019, McNamara served as the head of the football video department at Marian University in Indianapolis. He operated Marian’s online database on HUDL, created graphics for social media and recruiting, and organized the day-to-day operations of the film department.
From April 2018 to November 2019, McNamara was the student assistant director of football operations at Marian, assisting with travel operations and offseason team events. He also was a volunteer video assistant for the Butler University football program.
McNamara earned a bachelor’s of arts degree in history and secondary education from Marian in May of 2019.
