Jimmy Quemado joined the Colonels as the Assistant Director of Football Sports Performance in the spring of 2026, before being promoted to the Director role in July of 2026.
Quemado came to Richmond after spending the 2024 and 2025 season with the Memphis Tigers as an assistant strength and conditioning coach. With the Tigers, Quemado helped Memphis to an 11-2 record in 2024 on the way to a 42-37 win over West Virginia in the Scooter's Coffee Frisco Bowl. In 2025, the Tigers went 8-5 overall earning a trip to the Union Home Mortgage Gasparilla Bowl.
Before Memphis, Quemado was a strength and conditioning intern with the Tennessee Volunteers as they went 9-4 with a 35-0 win over No. 17 Iowa in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl.
During the 2022 season Quemado was at Cincinnati as an intern with the Bearcats going 9-4 that year.
He started his coaching career at UTEP for the 2021 season after playing for the Miners from 2016-2019 as a defensive tackle.
A native of Honolulu, Hawai'i, Quemado holds a Bachelor's of Science degree from UTEPÂ in Kinesiology.
