AS A REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE IN 2016
Appeared in nine games and made four starts at quarterback … finished the season 75-for-153 for 940 yards … tossed five touchdown passes and ran for one … first EKU student to be selected as a Mitchell Scholar, and the first from a public institution of higher learning in the Commonwealth of Kentucky … the George J. Mitchell Scholarship Program is a national, competitive scholarship sponsored by the US-Ireland Alliance … the scholarship has become so popular that in the previous three years, of the 10 individuals to be offered both a Mitchell Scholarship and Rhodes Scholarship interview, eight opted for the Mitchell … 2016 Doris Robinson Scholar-Athlete of the Year, award given each year to a Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) student-athlete who excels not only on the field and in the classroom, but in the community and beyond … began the season by going 5-for-6 for 46 yards and throwing a two-yard touchdown pass at Purdue (Sept. 3) … had a 13-yard touchdown pass against Pikeville (Sept. 8) … threw for 141 yards and tossed a 30-yard touchdown pass against No. 2 Jacksonville State (Oct. 22) … completed 22-of-46 passes for a season-best 289 yards against Murray State (Nov. 5) … scored on a one-yard run against Murray State (Nov. 5) … threw two touchdown passes and completed 15-of-26 passes for 182 yards as EKU tied the program record with 67 points at Austin Peay (Nov. 12).

AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN IN 2015
Played in five games … was 15-for-32 for 127 yards for the season … completed 5-of-7 passes for 28 yards in the season-opening win over Valparaiso (Sept. 3) … was called into action at Eastern Illinois (Nov. 21) when EKU’s first two quarterbacks were knocked out of the game on back-to-back plays, completing 10-of-24 passes for 99 yards.
 
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2014
Redshirt season … voted Future Offensive Player of the Year by his teammates … earned the Ohio Valley Conference Medal of Honor, which is given annually to the student-athletes that achieve the highest grade point average in a conference-sponsored sport … earned a spot on the Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll … 2014-15 Colonel Scholar.
