Biography

AS A REDSHIRT SENIOR IN 2016
Handled kickoffs for the Colonels as a senior … averaged 56.4 yards on 52 kickoffs … 12 of his kicks were touchbacks … played in all 11 games … recorded two tackles … had four touchbacks on eight kickoffs against Pikeville (Sept. 8) … kicked off 11 times at Austin Peay (Nov. 12).

AS A REDSHIRT JUNIOR IN 2015
Appeared in six games … kicked off 13 times with one touchback … converted his only point-after-attempt of the season … successfully executed an on-side kick against Tennessee State (Oct. 24).  
 
AS A REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE IN 2014
Connected on only point-after-attempt of the season against Morehead State on Sept. 13 … tallied a touchback against the Eagles as well ... earned a spot on the Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll … 2014-15 Colonel Scholar.  
 
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2013

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2012
Utilized in five games for kickoffs and field goal attempts … made a team season-long 45-yard field goal in the win at Southeast Missouri on Nov. 3 … was 3-for-3 in extra-points against Tennessee-Martin on Sept. 29 … tallied a touchback against the Skyhawks as well.

HIGH SCHOOL
Played under the direction of head coach and former EKU player Chris McNamee at Pikeville High … 90 percent of his kickoffs were downed for touchbacks … named an All-American kick-off specialist by ProKicker.com and nation’s number one kicker at Ray Guy’s kicker camps … also competed on the track team for six years.

PERSONAL
Son of Joe VanHoose and Denise Burgy … born on Aug. 16, 1993 … both his dad and brother attended EKU.
