Selected to the ASUN All-Freshman Team … went 2-4 with two saves and a 4.43 ERA … struck out 43 batters in 44 and two-thirds innings … limited opponents to a .235 batting average … earned the win against No. 15 FGCU (April 14) after pitching four scoreless innings of relief, allowing one hit and striking out seven … earned saves against Presbyterian (March 11) and North Alabama (April 22) … pitched two and one-third innings of scoreless relief at Central Arkansas (May 19) ... Atlantic Sun Conference Honor Roll.

HIGH SCHOOL
First team all-state as a senior in 2022 after going 7-2 with a 1.85 ERA and 84 strikeouts in 49 innings pitched, and hitting .375 with 52 runs, four home runs, 29 RBIs and 24 stolen bases … NEKY All-Star and 61st District MVP as a senior … Collegiate Baseball Newspaper 2022 Kentucky Players to Watch List … second team all-state pick as a junior after going 6-1 with a 1.46 ERA and 81 strikeouts in 38 and one-third innings, and hitting .492 with 56 runs, 45 stolen bases and 33 RBIs … KHSBCA East/West All-Star … was 22-3 with a 1.72 ERA and 253 strikeouts in 146 and two-thirds innings pitched during his high school career … all-area in four sports as a senior – baseball, basketball, football … averaged 12.4 points and 7.3 rebounds as a member of the Rowan County High School basketball team.

Full name is Chase Edward Alderman … son of Mike and Kris Alderman … has one brother – Ty … his grandfather Sonny Allen played college baseball at Morehead State and professionally for the Yankees … his brother Ty was a swimmer at Transylvania … his mother Kris was a cheerleader at Morehead State … his cousin Chase Fielder played college basketball at Florida Gulf Coast … his cousin Jake Fieler played college football at Virginia … majoring in accounting.
