Brett Meredith

Brett Meredith begins his first year as a graduate student assistant coach at EKU.  His responsibilities include assisting with individual workouts, the conditioning program and team practices.  He will also edit game film and oversee the Colonel Basketball Reading Program, an annual community outreach project with local elementary schools.
 
Meredith served as the head boys’ basketball coach at Metcalfe County High School from 2011 to 2013.  He was a member of the coaching staff at Lindsey Wilson College from 2007 to 2011.  While at LWC, he assisted with on-court coaching, served as the academic success coordinator and assisted with scouting, recruiting and scheduling.  Meredith helped the Blue Raiders reach the NAIA National Tournament in 2010.
 
Meredith played on two teams at Lindsey Wilson that were ranked No. 1 in the nation and helped the Blue Raiders to back-to-back Mid-South Conference Championships in 2004 and 2005.  He played in three NAIA National Tournaments (2005, 2006, 2007).  Meredith was also a three-time Mid-South Conference All-Academic selection.
 
The Bee Spring, Kentucky native earned a bachelor’s of science degree in mathematics and secondary education from Lindsey Wilson College in 2008.  He completed work on a master’s degree in secondary education (mathematics) at the University of the Cumberlands in 2012.
 
Meredith is the second leading scorer in Edmonson County High School history with 2,086 career points.  He was an all-state selection and Fourth Region Player of the Year as a senior in 2003.  He was a four-time all-district and a three-time all-region honoree.
