Biography
AS A SENIOR IN 2021-22
Appeared in all 13 events and played all 37 rounds … third on the team with a 75.78 stroke average … shot seven rounds at par or below, tied for second-most on the team … had one top-10 finish … shot rounds of 69 and a season-low 67 at the EKU Intercollegiate (Sept. 3-4) on his way to a tie for sixth with a 54-hole total of 208 (-2) … had a round of 70 at the Pinetree Intercollegiate (Oct. 18-19) ... ASUN Conference Honor Roll.
AS A JUNIOR IN 2020-21 AT WICHITA STATE
Brought home the men's golf's Team Leadership Award at the 2021 Gold Carpet Awards gala ... competed individually at the Missouri Tiger Invitational in his hometown of Columbia and shot a career-low 225 over 54 holes to finish in a tie for 46th out of 78 golfers ... named to the Fall 2020 Athletic Director's Honor Roll (3.0+ semester GPA) … tied for sixth at the 24th Missouri Golf Association Stroke Play Championship during the summer of 2021, shooting rounds of 69, 70, 68 and 70 for a total of 7-under 277 … shot rounds of 71 and 71 to place seventh at the Richard Poe Invitational during the summer of 2021.
AS A JUNIOR IN 2019-20 AT WICHITA STATE
Competed in each of the first two events and posted a 75.5 stroke average across six rounds … carded 16 birdies … shot a season-low 69 in the final round of the Ram Masters Invitational in Fort Collins, Colo. (Sept. 17) … fell out of the rotation in October but played well in spring qualifying rounds … earned his way back into the lineup for the team’s trip to Phoenix for the GCU Invitational (March 13-14), but the event was canceled – along with the remainder of the spring season – due to the COVID-19 pandemic .... fall 2019 AD Honor Roll qualifier … finished third at the Wichita Medal Play Championship during the summer of 2019, shooting rounds of 69 and 70 for a 3-under total of 139.
AT HUTCHINSON COMMUNITY COLLEGE
All-conference performer… played on two NJCAA National Championship qualifiers … helped the Blue Dragons to a conference title as a sophomore and to an 11th-place national tournament finish as a freshman … finalist for the NJCAA’s Jimmy Russell award, which combines golf, academics and community service.
HIGH SCHOOL
All-district performer and an individual state qualifier as a senior at Battle High School in Missouri’s largest classification … coached by Thaddeus Hamilton … lettered all four years in golf, twice in basketball and once in soccer …. earned all-region honors in soccer as a goalkeeper.
PERSONAL
Full name is Lake Alexander Leroux … son of Mark and Leslie Leroux … has one brother – Ty … his father is the head golf coach at the University of Missouri … plans to pursue a master’s of science degree in sport administration.
