AS A JUNIOR AT MOREHEAD STATE IN 2015-16:
Earned Second-Team All-OVC award ... Went 5-8 in the spring in singles action at Nos. 3-4, including a 4-3 mark in OVC matches .. Teamed with Ritchie Kruunenberg to finish 6-0 in OVC doubles at No. 1 and 8-2 overall.

AS A SOPHOMORE AT MOREHEAD STATE IN 2014-15:
Carded a 13-16 overall singles record, including a 5-4 mark in Ohio Valley Conference action ... Had a 13-11 doubles record, including a 4-2 mark in league matches.

AS A FRESHMAN AT MOREHEAD STATE IN 2013-14:
Settled into the No. 6 singles spot and turned in an 11-7 record ... Went 5-3 in Ohio Valley Conference singles matches ... Fashioned a 7-5 mark at No. 3 doubles.

HIGH SCHOOL:
Climbed as high as No. 26 in the Confederacion Sudamerican de Tenis (COSAT) rankings ... Represented his country three times in continental South American Tournaments, where only the top three from each country participate ... Also won numerous grade 1 and grade 2 events ... Awarded as an "elite athlete" three times in his hometown.

PERSONAL:
Son of Jorge Ruiz and Elia Auad ... has a brother, Jorge Ruiz (27) and a sister, Maria Haydee Ruiz (29) ... chose EKU to finish his tennis career at a high level ... plans to pursue master's degree in construction management.
