Lydia Kosgei is in her second season as a graduate assistant for the EKU cross country and track and field program.

The native of Eldoret, Kenya works primarily with distance runners.

Kosgei was one of the best distance runners in EKU history from 2009-12. She was a cross country All-American and an honorable mention outdoor All-American in the 5,000 meters in 2011. In 2012, she was a second-team All-American in the indoor 5,000 meters. She holds EKU records in the indoor 3,000 meters (9:21.40) and indoor 5,000 meters (16:03.66).
