Biography
2011: Was the Colonels’ No. 3 runner throughout the cross country season … turned in a key performance at the Southeast Region Cross Country Championships as he finished 26th overall with a 10K time of 30:54.9, pushing hard at the end to clip two William and Mary runners and a Louisville runner to help the EKU men earn their first-ever team berth to the NCAA Championships … finished 184th at the NCAA Championships with a time of 31:33.7.
Prior to EKU: A versatile runner with great range ... a two-time scorer at the Southeastern Conference Track and Field Championships while at the University of Tennessee ... finished sixth in the 800 meters at the 2011 SEC Outdoor Track and Field Championships ... also finished sixth in the 5,000 meters at the 2010 SEC Outdoor Track and Field Championships ... PRs include a 1:49.00 in the 800 meters, 3:44.80 in the 1,500 meters, 4:05.64 in the indoor mile and 14:13.86 in the 5,000 meters ... named a NJCAA All-American after helping Rend Lake College's 4x800 meter relay team to a national championship in 2009.
High School Accomplishments: A graduate of Mulot High School in Longisa, Kenya.
Personal: Son of Joseph Sigilai and Ruth Bore ... pursuing an MPH degree in community health at EKU.
