Biography

CAREER STATISTICS

Junior (2013):

One of just two players to start all 56 games … lined up at first base in every game … finished third on the team in both stolen bases (13) and doubles (eight) … posted a career-high and team season-high five RBIs against SIUE on March 22 … equaled a personal best with two stolen bases at MTSU on March 14 …ended the year on a five-game hitting streak and hit safely in eight of the final nine games … tallied eight multi-hit games … inducted into EKU’s Chi Alpha Sigma National Athletic Honor Society … earned an OVC Medal of Honor … 2012-13 Colonel Scholar.

Sophomore (2012):
Saw action in 52 games with 45 starts split between the outfield and designated hitter … finished second on the team in walks (18) and third in fielding percentage (.983) … hit her only home run of the season in the second inning of a win over ETSU on April 26 … belted a two-run double in a 7-2 win at UT Martin on April 7 … posted six multi-hit games including back-to-back two-hit games against Ohio (March 27) and Morehead State (March 29) … earned a spot on the OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll … 2011-12 Colonel Scholar.

Freshman (2011):
Played in and started 50 of the team’s 51 games as a freshman … started all 50 games at shortstop … finished her first season with a .257 batting average, 22 RBIs and 30 runs scored … collected 23 walks for a .354 on-base percentage … went 3-for-3 with two RBIs, a walk and a stolen base in her first collegiate game … finished 3-for-3 with a run and an RBI at Tennessee State on April 3 … earned a spot on the Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll … 2010-11 Colonel Scholar … 2010-11 Presidential Scholar (4.0 GPA).

High School:
Capped her career at Madison Central High School by being selected second team all-state … hit .540 with three home runs, 36 RBIs and 50 runs scored in 2010 … helped the Indians capture the 44th District championship and advance to the semifinals of the 11th Region tournament … earned honorable mention all-state recognition as a junior after hitting .486 with 12 stolen bases … also earned all-region tournament honors and was chosen first team Academic All-State … also played four years of varsity basketball … graduated with a 4.0 grade-point average and was ranked 17th in a class of 456.

Personal:
Daughter of Rob and Paula Beth Ciolek … born on May 12, 1992 … has one brother – Matthew … her father graduated from EKU … her brother Matthew played baseball at Asbury University … her grandfather Robert Ciolek played football and baseball at Michigan State University and played professional baseball with the Philadelphia Phillies … majoring in occupational science.
