Sammi Miller

Sammi Miller was hired as an assistant coach in August 2025, returning to her alma mater after spending the past two seasons as an assistant coach at Tennessee Tech.

Miller began her coaching career at Manchester University (2022-23), where she helped lead the Spartans to a 23-20 record, marking their first 20-win season since 2016.

Before coaching, Miller was one of the most consistent hitters in EKU softball history from 2019-22. She closed her career with a .388 batting average, 214 hits, 156 runs scored and 61 stolen bases.

In 2021, she played a key role in leading the Colonels to their third conference championship in program history. That season, she hit .400 with 62 hits, 13 doubles, three triples, five home runs, 24 RBIs, 28 walks and 16 stolen bases. She led the team in batting average, doubles, triples, walks and stolen bases while earning First Team All-OVC, OVC All-Tournament Team, and OVC Co-Female Athlete of the Year honors.

As a senior in 2022, Miller led the team with a .336 batting average, 47 hits, 22 stolen bases, 60 total bases and tied for the team lead with 28 runs scored. She was named the ASUN Preseason Player of the Year before the season.

A transfer from Virginia Tech, Miller made an immediate impact in her first season at EKU in 2019, earning OVC All-Tournament Team, OVC All-Newcomer Team and Second Team All-OVC honors.

Miller graduated from EKU with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science in 2021 and a master’s degree in sports administration in 2022.
