2016-17:
Cross Country – Finished fifth out of 64 runners at the season-opening Eagle Opener, helping EKU win the team title … ran a season-best 8K time of 25:10.8 at the Bluegrass Invitational on September 10.
Track and Field – Ran a personal-best time of 14:48.9 in the 5,000 meters at the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational on April 1 … ran the 10,000 meters for the first time at the OVC Outdoor Championships, finishing 12^th in a time of 33:21.6.

2015-16:
Cross Country – Named first team All-OVC after finishing third at the OVC Championships with an 8K time of 24:49.2 … placed 56^th at the NCAA Southeast Region Championships with a 10K time of 31:04.7, helping the Colonels earn their fifth consecutive berth in the NCAA Championships … competed at the NCAA Championships, finishing 196^th in a time of 31:57.2 … ran his best 8K time of the season (24:11.1) at the NCAA Pre-Nationals Meet on Oct. 17.
Track and Field – Ran 8:42.17 for 3,000 meters during the indoor season and 15:28.9 for 5,000 meters during the outdoor season.

Prior to EKU: Finished fourth in the 2015 Spanish Cross Country Championships ... PRs of 14:35.55 for 5,000 meters and 30:08.76 for 10,000 meters.  

Personal: Son of Ascension Marcuello Real and Miguel Angel Mena Blasco ... plans to major in nursing and system computer sciences.
