Biography
2011: Finished second in the 60 meters with a time of 7.53 at the OVC Indoor Track and Field Championships … also finished as the runner-up in the 100 meters with a personal-best time of 11.82 at the OVC Outdoor Championships …placed fourth in the 200 meters with a personal-best time of 24.34 at the outdoor championships … was a member of the sprint medley team that finished ninth out of 38 teams at the Penn Relays with a time of 3:57.40, coming within three seconds of the school record set in 1998 … was also a member of the 4x200 meter relay team that placed 18th out of 56 teams at the Penn Relays with a time of 1:38.79, just over 1.5 seconds off the school record set in 2003.
2010: Named the OVC Co-Female Indoor Track Athlete of the Year … won three individual OVC titles on the year … won the 55 meters (6.94) and the 200 meters (24.48) at the OVC Indoor Championships … won the 100 meters (11.84) at the OVC Outdoor Championships … was also a member of the winning 4x100 meter relay team (46.65) at the outdoor championships … her indoor 200 meters time is second all-time at EKU while her indoor 55 meters time is fourth … named OVC Female Track Athlete of the Week on Feb. 9 after winning the 55 meters at the MTSU Invitational with a time of 7.03 … was a member of the 4x200 meter relay team that won at the N.C. State Raleigh Relays with a time of 1:38.65, defeating schools such as Ohio State, Wake Forest and host N.C. State.
2009: Named OVC Female Track and Field Freshman of the Year … won the 60 meters at the OVC Indoor Track and Field Championships with a meet record time of 7.55 … was one of only two athletes to set a new meet record at the indoor championships … also finished seventh in the finals of the 200 meters at the indoor championships with a time of 25.88 … took second in the 100 meters at the OVC Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a time of 11.84 … placed third in the 200 meters at the same meet with a time of 24.69 … won the 100 meters (12.13) and 200 meters (25.26) at the Centre Invitational … also won the 200 meters at the EKU Open in a then-season best time of 24.88 … competed at the prestigious Penn Relays in the 4x100 where her team ran a time of 48.66.
High School Accomplishments: A graduate of Benjamin Banneker Academic High School in Washington D.C. ... won the 2008 state champion in the 100 meters and 200 meters ... won the 100-meter dash at her 2007 AAU regional championship ... was named a 2007 AAU 100-meter dash All-American ... won the 2005 state championship in the 100 meters.
