Biography

2011: Named a cross country All-American after finishing 37th out of 254 runners at the NCAA Cross Country Championships with a 6K time of 20:27.7 … she became EKU’s first cross country All-American since Jacob Korir in 2007 and her finish was the second highest ever by an OVC woman at the NCAA Championships … Finished second overall at the Southeast Region Championships with a 6K time of 20:05.4 to become the first EKU woman ever and just the sixth OVC woman ever to qualify for the NCAA Championships … Won the OVC Championships and was named the OVC Female Cross Country Athlete of the Year … defeated a talented field of 262 runners in the gold race of the Greater Louisville Classic with a season-best 5K time of 16:51.12 … named an honorable mention All-American in the 5,000 meters after finishing 17th in the event with a time of 16:10.81 at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Des Moines, Iowa … qualified for the NCAA Championships by finishing fifth in her heat of the 5,000 meters with a time of 16:26.42 at the East Region Preliminary in Bloomington, Ind. … ran a personal-best, and came within seconds of breaking a 33-year old school record, when she ran a 16:07.14 5,000 meters at the Penn Relays … her time is the second-fastest in school history and just over two seconds off the EKU record of 16:05.0, set by Sue Schaefer in 1978 … named the OVC Co-Indoor Female Track Athlete of the Year (along with teammate Kat Pagano) after running the third-fastest mile in school history (4:47.46) at the hotly-contested Washington Husky Indoor Classic, winning the mile (5:05.37) at the OVC Indoor Track and Field Championships and finishing third in the 800 meters (2:15.86) at the indoor championships … also won an individual OVC title in the 1,500 meters at the OVC outdoor championships with a time of 4:40.29 … named OVC Female Track Athlete of the Week twice during the spring, after running a 4:47.69 mile at the Kentucky Invitational in January, and after running the 16:07.14 5,000 meters at the Penn Relays in April.

2010: Redshirted the cross country season …won her first career conference title in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:39.99 at the OVC Outdoor Track and Field Championships … also scored points with a third place finish in the 800 meters (2:16.83) at the outdoor championships …ran a personal best 4:28.04 1,500 meters at the Georgia Tech Invitational on May 15 … scored points at the OVC Indoor Track and Field Championships with a seventh-place finish in the 800 meters (2:26.55).

2009: Finished sixth on the team and 16th overall at the OVC Cross Country Championships with a 5K time of 20:46.56 …placed fourth on the team and 98th overall with a 6K time of 22:42.92 at the Southeast Regional.
