Played in 31 games and started 21 times … hit .189 with five home runs, 16 RBIs and six runs scored … slugged .432 and had a .326 on-base percentage … hit his first home run of the season at West Georgia (March 1), going 2-for-4 with a run and three RBIs … Atlantic Sun Conference Honor Roll.

AS A REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE IN 2024 AT ALLEGANY COLLEGE OF MARYLAND
Earned first team all-conference and first team All-Maryland JUCO honors after hitting .436 with 10 home runs, 19 doubles and 59 RBIs.
 
AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN IN 2023 AT ALLEGANY COLLEGE OF MARYLAND
Picked up first team all-conference and second team All-Maryland JUCO after posting a .336 batting average with 12 home runs, 47 walks and 49 RBIs.
 
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2022 AT MONROE COLLEGE
Redshirt season … did not play.
 
HIGH SCHOOL
Played at Nationwide Academy … graduated in 2021 … hit .490 with eight home runs, 15 doubles and 28 RBIs for a team that went 22-0 in 2019 … had a .450 average with five home runs and 20 RBIs in 2018 … averaged 15 points and 12 rebounds as a member of the basketball team.

Son of Guillermo Mendez and Yoly Sanchez … has two brothers – Samir and Yasser, and one sister – Dashira … his brother Samir played professionally in the Los Angeles Angels organization … his cousin Nellie Rodriguez played in the Cleveland Guardians organization … plans to major in sport management.
