EKU women's basketball head coach Greg Todd named Chad Gibney as an Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator on May 31, 2023.
"I have known Chad for several years and am very excited to have him on our staff," said Todd. "He will be a tireless recruiter with an incredible amount of contacts all over the states and the world. Chad's experience as a head coach and working with Gregg Marshall at Wichita State University will give our program a seasoned mentor as we continue our push towards an ASUN Championship next season."

Â
During the 2021-22 season, Gibney led WNCC to a 30-3 record, going undefeated in league play and claiming the Region IX South Championship. The Cougars advanced to the NJCAA Final Four and the team finished No. 4 in the NJCAA Division I rankings.Â
