Jeff Griffith joined EKU as a senior analyst in June of 2023 before being named Chief of Staff in 2024.
As Chief of Staff he is in charge of managing and supporting the coaching staff, student-athletes, and support personnel while also serving as the programs NFL liaison. He is involved in all aspects of the program, particularly in scouting, recruiting, and operational staff oversight. He also serves as liaison with athletics administration and academic support staff.
Prior to coming to EKU, Griffith spent 33 years as a high school teacher and coach throughout the Commonwealth, most recently guiding Warren East H.S. to an undefeated regular season in 2022. Griffith's career also includes head coaching stops at Barren County H.S., Boone County H.S., and Wayne County H.S. Griffith served as the defensive coordinator at Bowling Green H.S. from 2002-12 and helped guide the Purples to back-to-back 5A state championships in 2011 and 2012.
Griffith, a graduate of Madison Central H.S. (KY), played outside linebacker at WKU from 1986-89 graduating in 1991with a bachelor’s degree in special education and English and a MS in education in 2005.
