After playing one season with the Colonels, Kristen Dorsey will serve as a volunteer assistant coach during the 2013-14 season while working on a master’s degree in sports administration.
In her only season with the team, Dorsey became the third Colonel to capture individual medalist honors at the Ohio Valley Conference Championship.
Dorsey helped lead the Colonels to their second-ever conference title and first since 1996.
Eastern led by as many as 13 strokes during the final round, but when the final group teed off on the 18th hole, the Colonels were tied with Jacksonville State. Dorsey’s second shot rolled to within 15 feet from the cup. She two-putted to par the hole and give EKU a one-shot victory.
